Announcements August 23, 2015

Fall sports are off to a good start...

  • The boys cross country team finished 3rd (out of 17 teams) in the Autumn Classic on Saturday! Nick Kennedy finished 5th and Cecil Dean finished 13th.  Great job!!!
  • The football team competed in the Grid-O-Rama Saturday against Nitro HS, winning with the score of 16-0.  http://www.wvgazettemail.com/article/20150822/GZ02/150829821/1115
  • Boy and Girls soccer teams fought hard Friday and represented Riverside well.  
  • Volleyball had a scrimmage against Ravenswood Friday, looking good.

Come out and support the Warriors whenever possible!

Tuesday, Aug 25: Home opener for boys soccer against St. Albans, 5:30.
                             MSAC Golf @ Berry Hills 

Thursday, Aug 27: First football game at Laidley Field against Capital HS.
                               Boys soccer @ Spring Valley 5:30
                               Girls soccer at home against Spring Valley 6:00.

Saturday, Aug 29: Cross-Country Teams @ Charles-Point Indian Run, 9:45

Week 3 of school... Remember to be in at school before 7:15!

Warrior Announcements

Tuesday, Aug 18: AIS and Freshman Focus begins during Warrior Time.  Check your GRADES!!

Thursday, Aug 20:  Meet the Warriors!!!  6:00 on the football field.  Great time to cheer on all our Fall sports teams and to see a preview of our Band performance.

Friday, Aug 21:

  • Girls Soccer HOME vs St. Albans  6:00
Saturday, Aug 22:

First Day, First Week!

    • After school, anyone interested in playing baseball in the spring meet in the commons with Coach Phalen.
    • Athletic Boosters meeting at 6, conference room.
  • Thursday
    • Open House for parents 5-7 pm
    • LSIC meeting 6 pm
    • Class of 2016 Project Graduation meeting 7pm-commons

First Day of School!!!

Welcome Back WARRIOR NATION!

We are excited to see everyone!!!

  • Breakfast will be served from 6:45 to 7:05.  
  • Check in the commons for your homeroom class.  They will be separated by class and alphabetical.  
  • Homeroom will start at 7:15.  You will get your updated schedule.  
  • After about 5 minutes you will go to your first period class.  You will receive all of your handouts. 
  • Class meetings will happen throughout the day!

Bring on the 2015-2016 school year!

Warrior Summer

We hope that you are having a great summer!!!



  • One week of sports practices is in the books.  Two weeks to go.  Contact your coach if you need more information.  
  • JROTC had a great week at Camp Dawson in Kingwood, WV.  The week was full of water survival training, land navigation training, rock wall rappelling and a leadership challenge course.  Top shooters of the camp... Great job!
