The Pride of Riverside Band News!!! 2/7/16

Three Warrior Band members participated in the annual Region 3 Solo and
Ensemble Festival over the weekend. David Tincher and Ashley Elswick
received the highest possible rating,"Superior", and Isaac Taylor the next best rating of "Outstanding".

While they were at WVSU participating in this festival Mr. Mullins was at Marshall
University with another group of students participating in Marshall's High
School Honor Band. Logan Sheets, Noah Crawford, Ashley Tinnel, and Madison
Hancock had a great experience in Huntington!

While  in Huntington, Logan auditioned for acceptance as a Music
Education Major and HE WAS ACCEPTED. Although they have not yet set the
amount, they have also indicated that he will be receiving scholarships
both from the School of Music and another from the Athletic Bands!

It was a BIG weekend!

This Thursday Mr. Mullins will be traveling to Morgantown with 5 Warrior Band Members
to participate in "that other school's" High School Honor Band. Logan and
Noah will be on this trip along with Jamie Fauver, Emmalee Moles, and David
Tincher.

Great job Mr. Mullins and the Warrior Band members!!!

Announcements: February 7, 2016

Congrats to Gannon Cole who represented #WarriorNation in the regional Swimming meet.  He was an Army of ONE, is a 9th grader, placed 9th in 100 yd butterfly and will have great success in the coming years!  #OWN

The food pantry is collecting cereal for distribution this month!  The need is great; Warriors respond!  #WarriorsHelpingWarrios

Congrats to Mr. Hardy and Melodic Fusion for putting on the Fusion Fest Competition this past Saturday.  20 schools participated from OH, PA, VA and WV, making it one of the largest competitions in the state!

This week is National School Counselor Appreciation Week!  Our counselors are the best!  Stop by the counseling office to express your appreciation!

     Our students help to serve the community this past weekend through the Food Pantry!  We will now restock for the February distribution day! 

Congrats to the JROTC drill team for being 2nd in the State!

Also congratulations to the wrestling team for their 5th place team finish (out of 29 teams) at the Fairmont Winners Choice Competition!  Melodic Fusion received 3rd place in their division at the competition in Beaver Creek & Tyrek Saunders was named best performer!!!

Announcements: January 10, 2016

Great first week of the 2nd Semester!  Remember: It is easier to keep up than to catch up!

Attendance is key!  Although some absences are unavoidable, being in class should be a priority for students to succeed.  AIS and Freshman Focus are back during Warrior Time Tuesday-Friday.  Students are to go to a session to receive extra help or make up assignments.
